Brazilian Committee approves the fifth project and prepare a new Public Call for 2014

The Brazil-Israel Technological Cooperation Program, coordinated by the Department of Innovation, Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC), approved the fifth project of cooperation between companies of the two countries for research and development (R & D). The fifth proposal accepted was submitted by enterprises AEL Sistemas (Brazil) and Elbit Systems (Israel).

The Program had already approved four projects in October this year, including a project presented by the same companies AEL Sistemas (Brazil) and Elbit Systems (Israel).

In early November, the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Government, Avi Hasson, was in Brazil and held meetings with the Secretary of Innovation Ministry, Nelson Fujimoto, entrepreneurs and other government representatives. On this occasion, the results already achieved by cooperation were highlighted and it was established an intention to launch a new Call for proposals in 2014. "The results of this Program have been extremely positive. After this year experience we can move forward in cooperation, attracting more enterprises and adopting a greater number of projects in the next Call", said Fujimoto.
